Artwork Introduction

Inspired by gratefulness to her late father, the choreographer and leading dancer, Hui-jen Tan, led the dancers into her creation of fresh structure of tension and a simple form as a result of distress transformed and extended. The language of the dance was largely modern, combining the gestures of folk dance and the moves of everyday life. Integrated with theatrical elements, the choreography was poetic, smooth, well constructed, and full of layers and potential.
