Taishin Bank Foundation for Arts and Culture

The secondary selection committee comprises nine members in total. It includes seven members form the board of directors of the foundation and external experts and scholars recommended and appointed by the board, together with the two chairs of the nomination and the observation committees, who are elected by committee members. From ten to fifteen nominees selected in the preliminary selection conducted by the nomination and the observation committees, the secondary selection meeting is convened with committee members to then select five “Annual Shortlist Award” winners and compose commentaries on the selected works. 

The secondary selection committee are formed by professionals from the art and interdisciplinary fields with the objective to provide multifaceted observations and assessments. The secondary selection committee members will elect two to three representatives to take part in the international final selection to select one “Grand Prize” winner.
