Starting form 2007, the Foundation began to financially sponsor the local artists to attend international exhibitions and festivals. The first sponsorship was the participation of the 10th Istanbul Biennial during Sept. 8th to Nov. 4th, 2007 under the curatorship of Mr. Hanru Hou, who was one of our Jury members in 2004. The center idea of the 10th Istanbul Biennial was based on the collective thinking and on-site dynamic process of the art works, a breakthrough from the traditional conceptual framework of thematic installation. The Taishin Foundation proudly supported 3 artists to join this grand show in Turkey. The works were “Bade Area 2005”, “The Route 2006”, “On Going 2006” by Chieh-jen Chen, “Here and Now” 2006 series by Hui-chiao Chen, and “Qingjing Jing – Unity of All Religious 2007” by Hung-Chin Peng.
